Protection Projects is a consulting company specialising in fire protection engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company was started in 1981 specifically to provide specialist fire engineering consulting services to the National Electricity Supply Commission.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since then Protection Projects has continued to pioneer the development of fire engineering in South Africa, through the ongoing introduction of new techniques and approaches in the solution of owners' fire protection problems and public fire safety.<\/span><\/p>\n

For example, Protection Projects was the first fire consultancy to obtain approval by the Johannesburg Fire Department of an \"alternative fire design\", as it was called when the first version was issued of the National Building Regulations allowing for rational design.<\/span><\/p>\n

Subsequently, the Practice has had wide extents of rational design involvement with virtually every type of industrial and commercial building, for many of the well known architects and client companies in South Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n

This work has included investigations, hazard analysis, audits, designs, installation management, testing, commissioning and approvals.Our in-house capabilities extend to being able to prepare designs and working drawings, to the detail if required to enable tradesmen to install piping, pumps, conduit, cabling, equipment, and more without any special fire protection knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
